MIT Names Cellist Maya Beiser Inaugural Mellon Distinguished Visiting Artist at the Center for Art,
As the inaugural Mellon Distinguished Visiting Artist this year, Maya Beiser will collaborate with MIT faculty and students to investigate ways to advance her artistic practice with new technologies.
On March 3, Maya will perform composer and MIT CAST Faculty Director Evan Ziporyn’s startling new version of the complete Blackstar, David Bowie’s last album, arranged as a cello concerto, as part of the MIT Sounding concert series. More information and tickets here.
